What patients say on Google

“The appointment was an abject failure for my child. DR. FARD WAS 30 MINUTES LATE TO THE APPOINTMENT without an apology or any mention of this incredible lack of respect for someone else's time. My daughter submitted the required paperwork and her records within the mandatory 72 hour requirement of making an appointment but it became crystal clear that Dr. Fard never even looked at the records let alone review them because he asked her the same questions that were in the paperwork she had shared already. He showed zero familiarity with her history, timeline, or information that had been provided in advance and instead spent the majority of the appointment asking questions already answered in the paperwork. As if that wasn't enough of a sucker punch for a potential new patient, it was deeply concerning how quickly Dr. Fard wanted to increase a prescription dose without demonstrating a true understanding of the history and the prevalent issues. His fast draw of the prescription pad came across as merely reflective and lacked any depth of understanding or curiosity about the issues facing the patient in front of him. It is deeply concerning was how quickly a medication increase was recommended despite the apparent lack of familiarity with the records. Thoughtful psychiatric care requires context, careful review, and clinical reasoning. Recommending a medication change before demonstrating an understanding of the patient's history felt more reflexive than considered. What an insult to demand preparation from patients and then show up to the conversation unprepared yourself.”

“Continued excellent experience working with Dr. Thomas Goff for the past nine months as he completely understands it takes a “Team Effort” to create success of meeting our mutual goals for my care. The support staff from Columbia Health continues to provide excellent professional services. Keep up the good work!”

“I have been working with Deondra for some time now and am experiencing positive growth, clarity and hope. She has turned me on to new concepts and more modern modalities. Working with her is a joy and yet we do “work” which feels like a very worthy investment. The admin team has always been very helpful and kind as well.”

“I am posting this to warn others about the significant racial bias and stereotyping our family experienced with Judy Baggett at Columbia Mental Health in Reston. We expected a professional environment rooted in clinical objectivity; instead, we encountered a provider who was visibly uncomfortable and relied on offensive, unfounded assumptions. It is deeply concerning for a provider to project harmful stereotypes onto a patient while completely disregarding their actual background and character. This level of prejudice is dangerous and unprofessional. Our family has terminated care, and we strongly advise those seeking culturally competent, respectful treatment to look elsewhere.”
