What patients say on Google

“I have been a patient of Dr. Alathari’s since approximately 2010. Dr. Alathari is not the problem, and I have no issue with the care I received from him. Unfortunately, over the years there have been numerous problems with the rude, unresponsive, and often incompetent administrative and billing staff. I am only going to describe one of those issues here due to character limits. My account was updated with insurance information that was not mine, including a completely different insurance company and member ID. Because of that error, I was billed $220 for my last visit when my actual copay should have been $30. I called the office and explained that this was not simply outdated insurance information, but entirely incorrect information attached to my account. The receptionist was dismissive and seemed confused about the issue, offered no apology, and vaguely said she would pass along my correct insurance information. She did not give me any confidence that the information had actually been documented or sent to the appropriate person, and nothing has been corrected despite my repeated follow-up. I am now trying to cancel my next appointment and close my account, and even that has been unnecessarily difficult. After being a patient for roughly 16 years, I expected basic accuracy, communication, and accountability. Instead, I have had to repeatedly chase the practice to fix a serious error they created. The practice also relies heavily on AI and automated systems that do not function properly and make it even harder to reach a real person or resolve problems. The clinical care may vary by provider, but the administrative experience is a nightmare and I recommend patients look elsewhere for their care needs.”

“I just had my second appointment with a new Dr from this practice for the 4th time, during which he did not listen to me at all, yelled and reprimanded me as I was trying to have an open and honest conversation about how to effectively manage my meds because what he gave me last time needed to be adjusted, which he then said he would prescribe me an alternative which he also failed to call in the day of, so now I will have to wait through the weekend for them. Other reviews are correct, Zahra was the only reason I really stayed, and was given NO NOTICE she had left before having my appointment with someone completely new. Time to find a new psychiatrist too.”

“The providers here all care and take time to accurately assess you. They take your goals into consideration and explain why they make certain recommendations. I can't speak highly enough of them, especially Olga and Alathari.”

“Dr. Alathani was very thorough during my visit. He obtained a full history and talked through treatment options with me in a very approachable way. I would highly recommend him.”
